Information letter

On May 19-20, 2021, an international scientific conference "Family medicine residency: achievements, problems and prospects" is held at the NJSC "West Kazakhstan Medical University named after Marat Ospanov".

The conference is held in a mixed mode (virtual and offline), in three main areas: for teachers of family medicine, for representatives of practical health care, for residents. The possibilities of active use of EURACT resources for the transformation of their own programs and teaching methods in residency, the competence of family doctors, assessment of knowledge and skills, the participation of specialists in related disciplines in the preparation of GPs, the organization of the educational process in cooperation with PHC organizations, the problems of mentoring and employment, development opportunities will be discussed. Kazakhstan or Central Asian Movement of Young Family Physicians, career prospects and private practice in family medicine, and others.

Leading experts from the country, near and far abroad are invited to deliver reports, lectures, conduct master classes for general practitioners and teachers.

Within the framework of the conference, it is planned to hold a competition for reports of residents / clinical residents in family medicine.

The main topics of the conference:

1. Training of family doctors in residency: opportunities for integration with international standards

2. Interaction with practical healthcare: clinical bases, mentors, employment

3. Section of residents: presentations of clinical cases, discussions on current topics, seminars, master classes, electronic posters

4. New roles of family doctors in the light of health programs implementation and current development trends: impact on strategies and policies in residency
